Darwin is also the President of D.B. Higginbotham Electrical Ltd.,along with 360 locating services , a company that provides comprehensive electrical services for residential, commercial, and oilfield applications. With extensive experience in the oil industry, he brings a strong passion for delivering high-quality directional drilling services to clients across Western Canada. While the oil sector remains a primary focus, H&G has continued to expand into a broader range of markets, including fiber optics, agricultural power installations, water and sewer systems, and telecommunications infrastructure such as fiber and copper networks.
Brian Kentner
Vice-President & Managing Partner
With over 40 years of combined industry experience, our team is led by managing partner Brian Kentner, whose expertise sets a high standard for our operations. Brian began his HDD career installing conduit for fiber optic cable along CN and CP rail lines across Canada, with projects spanning from Toronto to Vancouver and everywhere in between. His work has also taken him north, with extended projects in northern Alberta, British Columbia, the Yukon, and the Northwest Territories, installing both fiber optic cable and gas lines ranging from 2” to 36”.
Brian’s experience includes challenging drilling conditions such as solid rock and major creek and river crossings, utilizing advanced equipment like mud motors, reclaimers, and wireline technology at depths reaching up to 200 feet. He has also served as a supervisor on multiple installations within the City of Winnipeg for Manitoba Hydro. In addition, Brian has completed extensive fiber optic installations for residential and commercial projects with clients including Manitoba Telecom Services, RFNOW, SaskPower, TELUS, Westman Communications Group, and SaskTel. This broad range of experience has equipped him to work effectively in nearly every ground condition imaginable, making his expertise truly exceptional.
